Guelph Pipe Band

Events

The Guelph Pipe Band is available for weddings, funerals, parties, parades, and other functions, either as a whole band, a mini band, or individual members.

The Guelph Pipe Band is a not-for-profit organization.  To help us meet our expenses for uniforms, instruments, and transportation costs, the band charges a fee for performances.  The charge is based on the number of players, the length of the performance, and the amount of travel involved.

Consider hiring a single piper, a few pipes and drums, or the full band for your next occasion.  A few pipes and drums are ideal for indoor concerts, or for small outdoor functions such as family or class reunions, company picnics, or anniversary or birthday parties.

The stirring display of the entire band in full dress uniform is excellent for parades, sporting events, opening ceremonies, class or family reunions, and concerts in a large indoor or an outdoor setting.

For band rates or to book an event, please contact the Band Manager.

A single piper enhances many occasions:

  • Weddings: make the wedding more memorable by piping the bride to the altar, the newly-weds from the altar, and later piping the bridal party into the reception.
  • Graduations and Convocations: add splendour to the day by piping in celebrated students as they share their excitement and success, and prepare to embark on a new journey.
  • Funerals: the solemnity of the occasion is underscored by the playing of a traditional lament, while paying an unforgettable tribute.
  • Bonspiels and Other Competitions: there is almost no limit to the occasions for which piping is suitable.  Consider a performance at private parties, receptions, fund raisers, seminars, sporting events, club meetings, or piping in the head table or your guests.

Individual rates are dependent upon the distance traveled and the time involved.  Individual rates are set by the piper prior to playing at a private function.  Please contact the Band Manager who will pass the request on to the pipers.
